![]() | There were hundreds of European nationals who were interned when the Japanese took the Philippines. Off hand, I'd say most of the diplomats would've been recalled or moved by their respective governments when it became clear that Manila would fall after it was declared an open city. Owen, I offer you my thanks for posting that tidbit on Isidro Paredes. Because of you, I've learned something new today. |

![]() | hi got to say the american cemetry manila is really well kept ,and organised ,when i arrived at the office the lady there took the details of the boy i was looking for and then called their guide who takes you to the grave and then blackens the name so you can see the inscription ,if you get a chance visit its worth it to pay your repects,and just to look at the graves and the walls of remebrance ..R.I.P. and thanks to all the americans and philippinos who are commemerated there |
