Wing Commander Arthur Donaldson

I'm looking for some info on Sqd Ldr Arthur Donaldson, the CO of 263 Sqn from February 1941 to August 1941. Can anyone confirm that this is the same Arthur Donaldson who, as a Wing Commander, commanded 229, 249 and 185 in Malta and who was seriously injured during combat with a number of JU88's on 15th October 1942. He had to crash land his strickened aircraft at Ta Kali, whilst covered with blood and with two fingers severed from his shattered left hand.

Thanks

Ian

My question has been answered else where on the net thanks.

However if anyone is able to give me his postings after Malta I would be grateful. The last reference I've been able to find about him is his involvement with the Liberator crash that also involved George "Screwball" Beurling in later 1942.

I think he may have an involvement with 10 Group sometime in 1943, can anyone confirm this.
