![]() | That's annoying. For Spitfires, it gives a figure of 24,351 but I can only account for 22,964, including Seafires and deliveries to USSR etc. I seem to have lost 1400!!

![]() | Yes, I just accept that it was many many millions (which is enough as a sobering guestimate). Problem with aircraft is lack of records, especially for German planes. And the fact that they rebuilt new aircraft from two or more damaged ones.
