renovated control tower

Just found this after seeing item on the local news on About Anglia TV. The renovation works to the control tower at what was Rackheath airfield has finally been completed. If you look at the top link first you will see the difference between then and now. Rackheath was home to USAAF 467TH Bomb Group flying B-24 Liberators.

Excellent!

I did have a furtle round inside the tower a couple of years back.

Amazing, it had been the offices for a scrapyard and it was packed to the roof with body panels from 1940-1960 motor cars.

Good to see it restored.
