RAF Fighter Pilot Ace - Details required

Attempting to assist a friend of my daughter who is researching a WW2 Spitfire Pilot name of Tommy (I assume Thomas) Oates - DFC & two bars - AFC. and apparantly died in Devon.

That's all I have unless he comes up with more. Can anybody assist please?

Tony

Tony,
Could I suggest you post your request on the following site.....

RAF Commands 1939 - 1945

This site specialises in RAF research and I believe you will get a result.

Regards
Peter.

Your man is not listed in Aces High - A Tribute to the most notable fighter pilots of the British and Commonwealth forces in WW2 by Chris Shores and Clive Williams.
