![]() ![]() ![]() | Germany's B-29 The Messerschmitt Me-265 was a strategic bomber developed under the "Amerika Bomber" programme. It does look strangely similar to the Superfortress: Me.264 AMERICA Heres a really detailed picture of this design. seems only one prototype was made and it was damaged by allied air raids in July 1944. ![]() ![]() ![]() | Here is another page with a Focke Wulf design which is very similar. Focke-Wulf Fw 238 Luft '46 entry Thank god these designs got no further than prototype stage (Focke-Wulf wass never more than a design)

![]() ![]() ![]() | I've seen that article. I dont know how true it is though. Controversy rages about it. In relation to the 390 though I remember in Peter O'Donnell's "The Berlin Bunker" that he refers to a plan to have Hitler spirited out of Berlin in a JU390 which could have flown him to Manchukuo!!!
