For anyone who can tell me the type of aircraft in the photo's.
One of the pics has the names of all the men on the back if anyone would like to know.
Taken 18,9,1945.

Not sure about the first photo.

Second one, tail on photo, I believe to be a B-24 Liberator. (Tricycle undercarriage, high aspect twin tail)

My first impression, probably way off mark, was a Wellington ?

I'm not a plane type but the first one does look like a Wellington Mark X.

Can confirm that first photo is a Wellington - not sure about the Mark, but looks to me like an ASV version - wish all those bods were not in the way as any specialist kit is hidden

Wellington XIV of 621 Sqn based at Mersa Matruh seems the best bet to me
