From his number,it would suggest that he joined the RAF after November 1941.His reception centre is unclear, (the reception centre being the RAF unit at which he was inducted into the RAF.)

Until early 1940, blocks of service numbers were issued to cover those who were inducted at the RAF receception centres at Uxbridge, Cardington and Padgate. After this date, many more RAF reception centres were set up and the block 1650001 to 16992488 is recorded as being "UK enlistments from various centres" which could include the three RAF reception centres as above.

The actual casualty's RAF reception centre can therefore only be ascertained from his RAF service record.
