Hi
I am looking for a man who appears to be missing from CWGC reister. He is T.R.McRorie who is given on the RoH I am working on as ' Flt Lt RAF kia 1943 over Germany '
Does anyoe have a copy or access to Chorley's RAF Losses 1943 volume?

I have tried all sorts of combinations on CWGC and enquired to them directly but no information forthcoming. I know he studied Dentistry at Glasgow 1936 so my next stop is Glasgow Uni.
Help!!

Arthur,
Thank you. You've saved me a trip to the Library in Edinburgh to look it up.
Many thanks.

Arthur,
How sad to note twin brothers Robert and Richard Tod from Manitoba now lie in graves 249 and 250 of Medemblik Cemetery.

Malcolm,
Although there might be other incidents like this one! I have not come across another one where a set of twins were lost on the same day through the same incident.

It really is quite tragic and must have been heart breaking for their parents.

Arthur

Arthur,

You will have to excuse me if I make a mess of this as it is my first time on such a site.

For your information, Chorley is wrong regarding the night fighter pilot that shot down EH889.
Oblt. Lothar Linke, IV./NJGI was actually lost in action some months before EH889. The most likely pilot is Heinz Vinke who, according to the German records was the only pilot to claim a victory at that time and position. He also claimed it as a Sterling. The similarity in names is probably the reason for the mistake in Chorley.
Heinz Vinke (54 victories) was lost in the channel in 1944, shot down by a Typhoon.

Chamberlain returned from Germany with the signed agreement in hand, proclaiming that "peace in our time" had been achieved. Churchill attacked Chamberlain's "politics of appeasement" in this and many other speeches.)
