BBC crew recordings

I've been trying to track this site down ever since i found it 18 months ago. I now have it again.
To hear some BBC recordings made of Lancaster bomber crews whilst over Germany go to:

http://www.stelzriede.com/ms/html/mshwindx.htm

Just click on crew recordings and off you go. There are also some very handy transcripts.
Marshall Stelzriede was aircrew for an American B17?
Marvel at how polite an RAF crew can be when they are being recorded for posterity!

Thanks, glad you posted that. Will find the Lancaster recordings useful when I set my site up.

Good stuff. Listen to it in the dark or with your eyes shut and imagine.....

Just found out last night a name-sake of ours, a distant famly member was awared a DFM in July 45.
543639 John Allen DADGE. 617 Sqn RAF.
Looked on this Dambusters site http://www.dambusters.org.uk/saumar.htm Found him to be a mid-upper gunner on a raid they did in June 44.

Listening to these recordings and thinking of them on those long night-time raids.,,,dunno we're born do we?
