I imagine that you might need several lottery wins to even have a chance mate.
Check out 'flying legends' on those trailers, Mosquito escorted by Spitfires.

Says she crashed in 1996; So as that video is HT-E (RR-299) it must be during or before 1996? must have been the one I saw flying as a kid??

Yep sounds about right. Depends when you where a kid VP.

She was based at Chester and I remember many a open day. My old man new someone in the factory so we had a tour. Atthe time making the HS125 biz jet and Airbus wings. The whole factory was very proud of HT-E and quite rightly too. A sad day when she was lost, I think the pilot and Navigator where killed too.

I saw a Mosquito up at the EAA in Oshkosh, Wisconsin about five years back. She wasn't flying, but looked airworthy. I got pictures somewhere.

Kitty, as the Mossie seems to be your bird, do you know anything more about this?

From: De Havilland Mosquito - Great Britain

The prototype night fighter with a circular segmented air brake installation.

Why would it need an air brake? For landing?
