Found this interesting site about the salvaging of a Lancaster that is currently underway.

12,000 tallboy still on board. Should be interesting to see them excavate the bomber.

23 - 24 September 1944.
9 Squadron.
Lancaster I LL914 WS-U.
Op. Munster.

The aircraft took off from Bardney tasked to attack the airfield at Munster-Handorff and crashed near Wierden, where F/S. Harrington RCAF and both airgunners are buried in the towns general cemetery. The others are commemorated on the Runnymede memorial.

P/O. W. Begg +
Sgt. E. Haskins +
F/S. H H J. Bromley +
F/S. T A. Harrington RCAF +
Sgt. J. Moreton +
Sgt. A D. Jones +
Sgt. F. Wilcock +

This aircraft was carrying a Tallboy bomb fused for a 30 minute delay.
