Bruneval, anything to see today?

Going to be staying not far from Bruneval.
Is there anything about the raid to see there today?

The last time I looked,Bruneval was not in the Michelin 1/200 000e Atlas Routier but is easy to locate. It is adjacent to the petroleum port of Havre-Antifer.There is a belverdere overlooking the Plage de Bruneval where the post raid pick up took place.

I can't imagine the chateau survived the war.

It didn't. It was pulled down in 1943. However the steps which Frost rushed up are still there (well, they were in 1986 when I was last there anyway!).

I've got the magazine out, Owen and I'll scan the relevent pages (6 or 7 of them) later this evening.

Dave
