This is sick, my blood boiled when I saw it. I am picking this is the work of a few idiots who have no knowledge of the background of the cemetery, their minds are so poisoned with propaganda that they see anything linked to west and attack it. However that doesnt excuse what they have done, I hope karma is a bitch.

Sounds like another myth in the making- as in my view - we did not set about to "liberate" the - Cyrenicans - Lybians- or the Tripolitanians from the Italians- but rather to pull Mussolini down a few pegs by the astounding victory at Beda Fomm - then Ethiopia - then the Germans reacted to boost the Italians.

In fact the Italians did more good in Tripolitania in cultivating the Desert to grow fruit and Vegetables whereas the indigenous people had done nothing - so we war just as big a menace as the Italians were.

It's a silent video, with no context and doesnt appear on any news sites.

In fact, a look at the profile of the user who uploaded the video tells you all you need to know. This person has a clear agenda, and as a result you cannot trust that the video is described correctly.

Benghazi War Cemetery to be fully restored

It’s now reported from Benghazi that two Commonwealth War Graves cemeteries have been damaged in attacks over the weekend – both the Benghazi War Cemetery and now the Benghazi British Military Cemetery. We are awaiting a detailed report but in both cemeteries, headstones were broken and disfigured. Both cemeteries will be restored to a standard befitting the sacrifice of those commemorated at Benghazi, but this could take some time because we will need to source replacement stones. We will also need to be sure that it’s safe for the detailed work to be carried out, but in the meantime we will ensure that temporary markers are erected over the graves. We have no reports of any maintenance staff being injured in the attack.

In a way I'm glad my family's war dead are all on Memorials to the Missing.
Noone can desecrate their graves like this.
It's also a times like these I despair at how religion can divide people.

Just watching the newspaper reviews on Sky News. This story is all over the front page of that well-known bastion of tolerance the Mail on Sunday.

As one of the journalists has pointed out, Christian and Jewish cemeteries are regularly desecrated here too. Not usually by Muslims either.

Not that I'm suggesting that Mail readers would in any way be affected by its relentless anti-Muslim agenda and continuous linking of stories to Hitler.

I dont care whether its muslims, christians or any other religious group responsible for destroying cemeteries. If i had it my way they would be strung up and beaten like those stones.

Well said! I wholeheartly agree very well put.The story is a little out of date I believe as there are now no immediate plans to replace the stones the graves have been marked with simple metal tags in the meanwhile following a second more destructful attack...the cross of sacrifice was also broken I believe.The Sunday papers are running with it
