Haslar Naval Cemetery

Having just joined I present the entire list of those buried in Haslar Naval Cemetery, Gosport - as a zipped excel file at Banner

I hope this is of some help.

Yours aye

Chris

Welcome Chris,
I lived in Pompey for years but I've never been to the Haslar Cemetery, is it open to the general public?

Cheers,
Adam.

Adam,

Haslar Naval Cemetery is in fact in two parts. The most recent part - late 1800 to the present day is in Clayhall Lane and is open generaly during all day light hours. The other part is within the grounds of Haslar Hospital - 1700 to late 1800 - mostly unmarked grave except one area. The WW2 part is the Clayhall Lane section. The Hospital part and the Clayhall Lane bit are about 1/2mile apart.

It is still in use.

If anyone wants an jpg image of any of the graves I can pop down and take one for them. Mostly single graves except some large ones (mainly submarine crews graves - where the entire crew were lost).

Yours aye

Chris
