Sorry - I should have posted this in a new thread which I have done here! Large naval picture libary If anybody here is ever looking for a picture of a warship from 1880-1970, I have a huge library at my disposal and would always be happy to send what I have on that ship either by email or post here. Colly, I would be delighted if you could find in your collection a photo of the destroyer HMS Thracian , she fell into Japanese hands when she ran aground in the fighting for Hong Kong - my father eldest brother was attached to her for a time. Thank you. james S. |

Hoggene, Great pictures of HMS Rodney, both her and HMS Nelson were formidable ships with all the main armament forward. As a young boy I was told that the main guns were all forward as the RN would always be attacking and so only need the big guns forward! Regards Tom
