![]() | Only just seen this thread - so, is the Tiger steered by a steering wheel then? I thought tanks were steered by side levers that braked the tracks seperately? Which system was/is the norm, in WW2 and today? Adrian

![]() ![]() | Levers would be the usual method of steering. Various differential and braking mechanisms could be linked up to these. The Tiger is not unique in using a wheel, some British light tanks (Tetrarch and it's big brother Harry Hopkins) also used a steering wheel.
