![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Propsed Panzer Designs 1920s & 1930s. Started on Panzer Leader by Heinz Guderian. Thanks Gerard. He is describing the proposed designed he would have liked for the first Panzer Divisions. Light tank and a medium tank. Trying to find some pictures of what they would have looked like but can't. Is what he proposed actually the Panzer III? Adam..................! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Edit: Cross-posted with the above, Not really mate. The III & IV were basically what he was asking for. 3 Mark III AP equipped companies with 1 more equipped with the IV for 'support'? For the IV's earlier concepts after the neubaufahrzeug try a search under 'Begleitwagen' (I&II from Krupp). For the III concept look for the Krupp 'MKA' (intended for export), and more significantly, the earliest designs in the Daimler-Benz 'ZW' (ZugfuhrerWagen) series, which eventually morphed into the III. Hard to believe they were thinking in terms of 15 ton tanks and only 10 years later had moved onto the VIb.
