![]() | Help needed An Italian company has a "commando jeep" kit for sale, reportedly used by the British airborne in Normandy. It is basically a modified jeep loaded with Brit mgs, gas tanks, tetc. Was this thing ever deployed tactically and on their TE or was it a prototype that was never used? Thanks, Tbar

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Produced by Italeri, the Commando car is, as you say a modified jeep. It was used in NWE by the SAS. The SAS at this time had some French and Belgian representatives within its ranks and one of the best SAS websites is a French one. It has this very good page on JEEPS and is the source of these photos.
