Re: Identifying Army matériel

A good guess but no. Their guns (you can see others vehicles in the background) were fired in anger.

I was going to say it looks like it is on skis/sleds. Looking at that boom at the back was it one of those russian flying tank contraptions.

Re: Identifying Army matériel

That would be an NKL-26 Aerosan.
Soviet Sled propelled by surplus Aircraft engines with prop facing backwards.

Cheers,
Adam.

Re: Identifying Army matériel

Feeling a little uninspired, I'm sure this one will fall easily.

What's this poor old thing?
And how many were made?
When?:

"You were given the choice between war and dishonor.
You chose dishonor and you will have war."

(Winston Churchill made this prophetic pronouncement in a House of Commons speech in 1938, just after Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain signed the Munich agreement with Hitler. Chamberlain returned from Germany with the signed agreement in hand, proclaiming that "peace in our time" had been achieved. Churchill attacked Chamberlain's "politics of appeasement" in this and many other speeches.)

Re: Identifying Army matériel

Correct.
I'll let you off the date (1942) and numbers (50).
If memory serves the Cadmans have 1 or 2 and intend a restoration.

Over to you.
