![]() ![]() | Soviet Website views on Lend Lease Tanks From site: The Russian Battlefield - Mk.II "Matilda" Heavy Infantry Tank Photos do not work for me which is a pity as they seem interesting. Blueprints of all Soviet Tank Development. I had not seen this site before and there are some interesting comments from the "Russian" perspective which is unusual from some of the "Soviet" members opinions we have heard lately. The comments on the Valentine are very interesting.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Soviet Website views on Lend Lease Tanks It is indeed an excellent site, nice to see the translation is ongoing, there's a lot more there in English than last time I looked. I'd particularily reccomend the report on Russian testing of Koenigstigers, an excellent day at the ranges for someone .The Russian Battlefield - Was the Tiger really "King?" Ought to point out that the Russian nickname for the Matilda 2 translated above as "The Tank of Four Heroes" is more usually translated as "The coffin of four heroes". (Should we really be referring to it as a 'soviet' website?? )Cheers, Adam. |

![]() ![]() | Re: Soviet Website views on Lend Lease Tanks Quote:
I have educated myself over time to designate "Soviet" instead of "Russian" during the war so that slip was due to habit. It is indeed a "Russian" site as it is modern day. Thanks Adam for the correction!
