A little more on the swamp T34's ongoing restoration, it's apparently planned to give rides on it;

WWII Russian T34 Tank Rescue.

What some finds on that site, T34/76, KV-1 & Stug III.
Wonder what else is lost in Russian lakes and bogs?

It's not easy to tell from the photos on the website but it appears that the German markings have been removed as part of the 'conservation'. If so, I think that is a real shame: leave it exactly as you found it without 'reconstruction' is a fundamental rule of conservation.

I'd looked too but I don't think there's enough evidence in those pictures.
I'm with you though, hopefully they've found a way that keeps the markings.

By the wonder of the Google translator I found a few more pics on a familiar site:
Edit: Sorry, still can't do direct links there, if you go in via one of these translated links click 'Haxodku' on the left menu and it will take you to the pictures only with rough translations.

I bet that FW190 isn't there anymore.

Tantalising glimpse of what looks like an absolutely perfectly preserved Pz.III being recovered in '98.

Adam,

Some great viewing.
It just asks the question of what else remains to be found out there-lots by the look of it.
