| reply Got over to Cowie yesterday, this is the memorial. PO Everiss's name has also been added to the village's new war memorial.

| I've just had a chat on the phone with someone at Stirling council, and sent details of the discrepancy by email. She said'd she look into it and get back to me.

| They could be right and the CWGC etc wrong - not the first time the CWGC entry has been wrong, and then everyone else copies the mistake. If the Statue Committee checked original documents and provide further info, then we'll just ask the CWGC to amend their records.

| That seems to be just repeating the Cowie Press Release (which seems to have been picked up a lot of newspapers and internet sites). Funny how it can all snowballs.
