Not WW2 but thought it worth a mention.

Can't wait to see her at one of the big airshows. Think she's got some problems but they say by the end of June she'll be ready.

Vulcans used to be my favourite planes at airshows when I were a lad.

They were (and still are) beautiful aircraft. I also loved the Victor as an aircraft. Very cool design.

They were chatting to the project leader on local news last night while there was some problem with the undercarriage doors on a test flight. He replied "I'm sure it'll be fine" but the look on his face as he watched it roar over showed the real stresses involved in their magnificent project.
During the film they showed of it landing my six year old declared "that's the cooooolest plane I've ever seen!".

He may have a point.

Vulcan to undergo more tests

A restored Cold War bomber is due to undergo further test flights over the East Midlands this week.
