Thanks for the replies guys. I have read some really good reviews of their tours in other places so I am going to go ahead and book with them....cant wait to go!!!!

Going to do tour of Normandy next year ,looking for tour guide to meet us in Caen.About 40 ex-servicemen on the tour can anyone help us out. Many thanks Sapper 2418[Tony]

During the fighting Noirth of Caen, There took place a horrific local fight that was literally hand to hand. That was described at the time as:

"The Bloodiest Square Mile in Normandy"

Little is known about it now, and I doubt that very many folk have visited that area.
"The Battle for the Chateau de la Londe"

Two of our sappers vanished, no trace of them was ever found. If I remember correctly, we lost 600 souls in a very short time.

i went to ste mere eglise,point du hoc,caretan,caen hill,all the beaches and mereville.i never went to the bridges over the caen canal though.all very nice.lee
