![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Overall, an excellent trip; nice to spend some time with the family, weather was best we'd had in years, and the Gite we had was superb. I've come back with some new books, plus several bottles of Calvados and Normandie cider to see me through the winter months!! Will be updating my website with new/updated info in the near future.

![]() | Some really great pictures. I've recently returned from a trip to Normandy too. It also seemed rather strange to me how Wittmann's grave at La Cambe was 'shined' up.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Owen - that's the church in the tiny village of Rubercy, a few miles inland from Omaha and not far from where I was staying. We passed that view almost every day, and stopped for a pic-nic there one day, which is when I took the photo. I thought it was a typical Normandy scene - and yes, you can picture some very different scenes there in '44. Ferrell was 7th Bn and killed in the attack at Cahagnes in Op Bluecoat.
