Trip 2008 - Good then and now photo sites???

Hello all, this i my first post on this forum.

I am travelling to Europe from Australia in 2008 and want to take some good 'then and now' phto's. Can anyone provide me with links to any good sites with then and now photo's? I have viewed Geoff Walderns 'Third Reich in Ruins' and it is great. I will be spending a couple of days in Belgium/Luxembourg, Normandy, Arnhem, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague and Munich (for Oktoberfest!). I know a lot of people take these photo's and i find them fascinating! Thanks in advance.

If you know where you are going to be, I'd recommend looking for photos of that area before you go. That will give you a better idea for your then/now's. That's what I did when I went to Gettysburg. I have several photos like that.

Hello Tobruk Rat,
Welcome to the site
I suggest the After The Battle books and magizines for a start.
http://www.afterthebattle.com/
I've done some Then & Now threads of Vernon, St.Valery-en-Caux, Budapest etc
I saw you looking at my Calais photos last night.

Welcome Tobruk rat,
It's not something I've ever indulged in other than by virtual means but I very much enjoy seeing them.
I'd go with Owen's recommendation of equipping yourself with the relevant copies of 'after the Battle' magazine, the leading exponents of the style, which should hopefully provide good starting points. Seems to be where most people new to the activity begin.
This is the complete Magazine Contents list. Which should help pin down areas you're visiting.
(Oh no! their 20% off the big books offer is back on...)

Good luck.
Adam.
