Great shot!
(and perhaps shows how many PTRS/PTRD were issued)

Thank you very much Deadb_tch.
Obviously Navigation is a bit random for me as I don't follow the language but it's finding them in the first place that proves really tricky. I've already seen some fine images on those ones.

Nice one.
Adam.

To Owen_D photos First's comment: training of military reserves. Second's comment: Before final assault of Koenigsberg. Commandment of 11th Guards Army at scale model of city-fortress (in center - commander colonel general Galitskiy K.N.).

Königsberg 1945, hell of a battle.
We had a member on here who thought the Red Army was a rabble.
This photo shows some of the detailed preparation the Red Army took before an attack which goes to show how wrong he was.
Thanks for those links.

U'll be surprized but at my opinion USSR has won the war by several reasons - and not a last was that we have very big population, so having such count of soldiers often made generals and commanders not to count how much of them will die in operation. This reason showed itself in operation assault of Berlin, when Zhukov following Stalin order tried to capture it before USA soever. No matter how many will die. Offcourse (!) soviet commanders learned alot during a war, but it must be noticed that not everyone started war like master of commandment I think there must be very flexible opinion - in some operations Red Army was a rabble just overwhelming germans with count not by a skills of commander , in some - it was a genius plans and very good scenarios and also great numbers of soldiers
