If I rememebr correctly....the first US Soldiers across were from the 27th Armored Infantry Battalion which was attached to the 9th Armored Division.

Being new here, I didn't want to assume anything. I know plenty of people who refuse to visit the German cemeteries. If they are close by to other things I'm visiting, I always take the opportunity to pay a visit.

Can I just say though...you dont have to put "" "" around the word Football when you mean soccer,afterall,unlike the rugby for girlies that passes for "football" in certain parts,real football actually involves both feet and balls

Depends on the audience...

...in the first part of my post I didn't put quotes around football because I knew people here knew what I meant. In the last part of the post, football is in quotes because I did a cut and paste from the website which I originally posted that thread which is primarily an American audience.

It's tough being a football/soccer fan here in the States. I have my DVD at home right now recording the Liverpool/Arsenal UEFA Cup game while I am at work. Of course...the good thing is I don't have to worry about hearing the score on the radio before I get home to watch the game this evening.
