Bob Chandler is an unknown quantity at this point
Atlantic Wall Museum Cap Gris Nez vs. Ambleteuse WW2 museum

We’re hoping to fit in a visit to one of these on the way back from a trip to the Cambrai area in the next few weeks. Have often passed them on the way down to Boulogne, and they always look very interesting. Which one would you visit if you had to choose? And how much time would you have to allow in order to visit both? Views welcomed. Cheers Bob

cash_13 will become famous soon enough
Bob both are brilliant, If I remember rightley Amble has a load of really good diaramas of accurate models and one of the most comprehensive collection of manakins with german wear....and is set in a cafe by that I mean above it.....also has about five 88mm guns behind it....but saying that I went there in 2000 so it might have changed a bit....

Cap Griz nez is worth it if nothing else to see the size of the rail gun and the shells that the block fired they are huge.....we're off to Caen on the 12th July cant wait

Very hard to choose between them, and like Cash I haven't been to either for a while, but would agree Ambleteuse is marginally better.
