![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Public Tanks Thinking of what's becoming my traditional Christmas Day Visit to the Grizzly & Churchill crocodile parked up outside Southsea's DDay museum I wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of any other AFVs or Military Vehicles on 'easy access' display in public places that I could go and have a clamber over if passing? Is there a tank in your town? ![]() (Southsea Churchill picture from here as I can't seem to find any of the hundreds I've taken over the years )Cheers, Adam.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I keep meaning to visit the WW1 mk.IV parked in the street at Ashford, Kent, but haven't done. I believe it's been used as an electricity substation in it's time... ![]() Panorama here: BBC - Kent - In Pictures - A tank in Ashford

![]() | I don't know if anyone will be strolling through the streets of Ukraine... When I was in Simferopol, Crimea I found this one in "Victory Square" P.S. Why do my pics only come up as thumbnails? Last edited by freebird; 27-11-2007 at 02:41 AM. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I see what you mean about the Germanic looking tracks. Technically it's a Grizzly rather than a Sherman (Canadian produced M4a1) and it seems they all wore that pattern originally. Looking here: Sherman Register - Track types they're 'Canadian Dry pin pattern'. Really very 'Panzerish' aren't they. (By the way Freebird, I'm going to bolt together a 'how to use the forum' thread soonish that should answer any picture posting queries ).Cheers, Adam.

I sometimes just copy and paste an image, which then appears larger or add URL link from my PhotoBucket account. That photo of my kids and Grizzly are from our My Space page. | |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you want to insert an image that shows larger it's a good idea to get a free photobucket account so you can save the picture and upload it to there, resize it to a sensible level, then use the 'insert image' Icon on the advanced posting window or just paste in the handy code that photobucket supplies to paste in directly to the text and the forum will recognise it and display the image. If cutting and pasting from sites (something I'd generally discourage) or using the direct url of an image try and give a credit to the site you're using as it's only polite. Some won't allow this image linking, but most people are ok with it as long as a link is given too. Most that have a problem will have a copyright message explaining so, or will have disabled the facility. I will build a thread on this with illustrations of all the icons for a better explanation.
