Fort Nelson - Tank day!

Not sure if this is the correct place to post (and apologies if not) but...

For those interested Fort Nelson (Near Portsmouth) is having its annual World War 2 bash this Easter Sunday and Monday;

Royal Armouries: Easter holiday days out - Second World War action at Fort Nelson, Fareham, Hampshire

Usually very good (especially for £4) and if doesn't stop; raining, sleeting or snowing and warm up 5 degrees i may go myself!

The good lady now starts to get a bit miffed as then its the Horndean show...

show Solent Overlord Executive Annual military vehicle show at Horndean

Then Bovington and finally (for me) the mighty Beltring - i'm even hoping it rains again

Cheers
Ev

I didn't realise so many vehicles turned out for Ft. Nelson. Bring Pictures.

(Know what you mean about Beltring mud, it was good fun last year.)

Some very nice shots there. The Senior NCO appears to be a well-fed fellow, not a Frontoviki then? Loved the Shupa winter coat. Nearly bought a knackered one at a militaria fair a few weeks ago - do you know where I can get a decent one?

Excellent use of the tunnels there.
I reckon one of those would really suit you H, I'll ask 'Stefan' over on WW2F, he ought to know a few sources.

Thanks Adam, you know I spend a lot of time worrying about my appearance...ha! I've never seen one at Beltring but there are occasional repro padded coats there sometimes. I may have to have my sense of PC readjusted in my next public self-criticism session: I was also tempted by an SS-pattern camo smock at the market.

Ill pass that on to martin then,basically,as a SNCO he got my share of the rations (one thing to note,the famous Vassili Zitsev is a dead ringer for him,not the emaciated lady boy as seen in Enema at the Gates)
RKKA,or me n ade..JPG
The Shubas are from Russia,we have very good conections over there and often work with actuall Russian russian reenactors (if you want to see those russians check out the film "The Cukoo").
