Arrow Waddington Airshow '08/09

RAF Waddington International Air Show

Will the Vulcan be there or not?
Hope it doesn't turn out like last year and get cancelled due to flooding.
Well worth going to.

Definitely overdue an airshow visit, that one's a bit too close to Tankfest & Beltring for me though. Is there a good online list of events throughout the year or should I just get Flypast magazine in?

There you go indeed... Cheers!
Annoyingly the one I always fancy, Flying legends, is also too near to Beltring.
one of the Shuttleworth collection events sounds tempting though, not been there yet.

I'm certainly off to Waddington again this year. 2007 was indeed a washout, I got soaked to the skin. 2006 was excellent though.
2008 has to be the year of the Vulcan. I can't wait.

Shots today at Waddo. Great day, rain in the morning but fine all afternoon.

I've never understood why the Vulcan has all over camo like that.
Why is the bottom not sky coloured?

The strangest thing about Waddo today was the stunning BBMF Lancaster sailing by, 500ft away on the flight line, and thousands of people ignoring it. Preferring instead to watch a tiny triangular grey dot circling in some clouds.
Great to see the Vulcan flying again.

Yeah it was strange. The BBMF as usual was stunning.
Nightmare trying to get home as it took ages just to get off camp.

Hurricane on static looked just gorgeous.
