It's France rather than Belgium. Can you zoom in on the roadsign or the shop sign, Keith ? It's somewhere around the region of Hazebrouck I think, probably to the north.
Very interesting, it looks like the one soldier wear P 1922 Tunic , and Medic armband . I found one more picture with POW Medics : Foto, Pz. Nachr. Abtl. 82, gefangene Engländer in Frankreich, 1940 (N)1615 | eBay
Having followed this thread with great interest I finally have to ask the question - how have you mananaged to acquire the photos? Are there other places to look besides eBay?

Got some photos in the mail today. St Valery POWS by Bill Robertson, on Flickr St Valery POWs rear by Bill Robertson, on Flickr My German is a bit rusty but I'm pretty sure the writing on the back says "Captured Tommys at St Valery"
Another one... St Valery POW 2 by Bill Robertson, on Flickr St Valery POW2 rear by Bill Robertson, on Flickr Can't make all the writing out on this one - starts off same as the othr "Captured Tommys at St Valery" the last part must be referring to how many were captured ("there we captured 24000" maybe?)
