    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum.

I’m sure a member with Ancestry or FMP access will be along shortly with details of his last recorded POW camp and or his POW details from the official casualty lists.

You will get full chapter and verse on his military service if you follow Clive's advice in the above post.

You will get full details of all his POW camps from Red Cross in Switzerland via below link.

Requests for information about people held during the Spanish Civil War or the Second World War: Quarterly limit reached

If you had posted 2 weeks ago you would have been able to apply on or after 1st October but they have speedily reached the limit for 2017 enquiries now so you will have to wait until 1st January 2018. Please keep an eye on ICRC site as the quarterly window for applications is open for only 3 or 4 working days before ICRC close it. It is a free service and it takes 3 to 4 months to get a reply from Switzerland.

    Good Luck

Do we have a date of capture? I'm assuming there's a good possibility around the end of May 1940 - Fighting at Cassel with the 2 Glosters?
