Corgi Stuka made a short field landing at work today.

    Insanely good Uboat modelling.
Possibly the most impressive modelling I've ever seen:

They are incredible, as you say VP, the U-Boat is amazing.

Recently finished this Airfix Tiger Moth for my nephew. It goes with the Spitfire I posted previously.

Built straight out of the box. I nice little kit but have to say I struggled with some aspects of this kit and would not regard it as a beginners kit. I had problems with the wing struts, tail struts and the undercarriage bracing struts. The plastic is very finely molded and very brittle and tended to break easily, even whilst cutting them carefully from the sprue with an X-acto knife.

I ended up making two of the struts out of a bamboo chopstick pared down. Not ideal, but at least the kit is now on his shelf. Just be aware of the fragility of the struts if you make one of these kits.

Conversely I could just be getting old. I can now see how modellers move up to 1/48 and 1/32 kits. :-P

Any recommendations for a nice 1/48 British tank kit?

All in the same sort of league too. (His albums on Facebook are all open as well)
What gets me even more about that incredible U-boat is the base kit is a frankly horrible Revell one.

A 30 year old Spitfire 1:24 model did not survive a recent spring cleaning, so it was made to represent a crash scene (which it was).

    Good thinking, Marco!

I have not done any modelling lately but I am eagerly looking forward to getting the Tamiya 1:48 Churchill Crocodile. I'll probably buy two... (One to make as a Crocodile, one to make as an ordinary gun tank)

Saw this on Facebook today. The little toy store in my town had a back corner that looked exactly like this.

    Argh.
    Thread poked.
Now spent an hour looking at old kits on here, & kits to buy.

Or I could just do one of the few I've still got from years ago...
    1/35 has got rather expensive.

If anyone gets you an etch kit by a company called Metal Earth... It's a trap!
They plainly don't like you, and want you to have some sort of aneurysm.

Clever (twist & bend), but... christ.

An essential product, not to be sniffed at.

Instructions should be (and were, along with everything else) adhered to.

    It bought much happiness.

    Kind regards, always,

I'm not revelling in this, an offshoot of tiger syndrome methinks.

    Outnumbered again too!

    Kind regards, always,

Alarming how old-fashioned the ad looks, as you can still get that Maultier & doubtless many of the others.

Things have come on a bit.
Hints that Airfix are looking into more British 1/35 after their fine-looking forthcoming Cromwell.

    I'm tempted again.
It'll look lovely in the stack of half finished & never started kit boxes.
