WW1 site still works, but since the CWGC invested heavily in major upgrades, I don't think there's been any updates.
Just goes to show how great Geoff was in making the CWGC clunky old database into a useful research tool.
Single handed it must have made the CWGC realise what an asset they had buried in useless junk, and they should simply have offered Geoff a job to run their database for them!

    The page states

"This page closed due to XXXXXX" - XXXXXX being a word we cant use here - but whats the connection between closing the site and XXXXXX

Probably a silly question, but can't you just ask Geoff what's going on ...or is he no longer with us?

This is very unlucky ... the search machine always has been a great asset for my research.

Any chance it will be restored?

Damn shame as I found it a lot better search function than CWGC.!!! Here's hoping he can restore it.

Geoff hasn't been back on here since 20th July and the removal of 'Current Affairs'.

Just came across this rather devastating news for WW2 researchers looking for CWGC casualties. A dreadful blow. But thanks to Geoff for such a useful tool that has helped many people over the years.

At least you have CWGC just requires a big more digging or a phone call to them to sort

As Geoffs Search Engine no longer works should it not be removed from the Links section forum

(please note, the upgraded WW1 engine seems to have a problem with searching on Regiment, but no one commented)
