Think this might be the man you mention but not the man you are after Clive Thomas Taylor Birth: 1905 Death: 1990 - Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia Marriage: 1930 - Queensland, Australia Spouse: Eva Lillian Turner The detail shows: Birth - 1905 • Durham, England Your man was born in Redditch, Worcs TD
I dont seem to be able to find a death for him either - he was in the RN and also it seems the NZN - so I assume there is a chance that if he emigrated to NZ then he may not have travelled throught the normal shipping routes and hence his 'trail' will be cold. Perhaps ask [not sure how you find out except look for NZ in their username] a member who is NZ based and has access to genealogical databases in NZ, mine doesnt quite stretch that far I'm afraid. Maybe edit the thread title to add possible NZ connection TD
Found a Clive Taylor died New Zealand 1985 but cannot access the record via ancestry as I need worldwide This would tie in with his NZN service Can any member help
We have Ancestry for NZ stuff so I will check out the name when I get a moment this weekend. Not sure if its relevant to CPO Taylor's service since he was attached from 1935 to 1938 but the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy only became the Royal New Zealand Navy (RNZN) from 1 October 1941.
I think he died in New Zealand so I need a death certificate to release his Royal Naval Record’s which may shed light also on his New Zealand division of the Royal Navy Thank you in advance of any help you can give Regards James
Hello James Sorry had some unexpected issues to deal with recently so but we have now had a look on line for NZ stuff but couldn't come up with anything other than the person who died in Australia in 1990 mentioned by TD which is not the person you are after. Can you give some details for the 1985 NZ record that you found but can't access and I will look into it for you. Cheers
NZ has a searchable BMD site, which to be different they call BDM. Funny, as I always thought death came after marriage Death Search Only 7 with Clive as a forename when I extended the search to 2018, but none which fit the bill. As he was born in 1905, the record should be available: You can search fordeath records if: the death occurred at least 50 years ago, or the deceased's date of birth was at least 80 years ago.
