Having only just hooked up my birdbox camera system for the 2019 season, I'm not sure how far this female great tit has got with the egg laying phase.
We only catch a glimpse of 2 or 3 eggs at a time, but there could be 6-8 eggs hidden within the nest. After all, she does not want to warm them up and start the incubation phase until all have been laid.

The wolve definitely is back in Holland - over the past year or so there have been several sightings of lonely wolves that entered Holland from Germany and after a while disappeared again across the border, but now three young puppies have been spotted on the Veluwe (the wooded area to the north of Arnhem).

Video images show three young wolves exploring nature. Experts confirm that it is indeed wolves. This is the first time in two centuries that wolves were born in the wild in the Netherlands.
