Form 1180 is just a summary card for various other documents.

Recently Kropiwnicki's casualty file was released to the public domain

Sergeant E Kropiwnicki (Polish): killed; aircraft accident near Church Stanton.... | The National Archives

If you look on the Form 1180 you will see that initially no C of I was done but that later one was done which changed the cause from F2 to F9. Try the RAFAHB for transcript details from A28... file ref given once you have looked at the casualty file.

County coroner report usually also give better place of death than F1180.

You'd have better success if you used the right Merry Harriers...... that is 3 miles from the airfield

You want all the credit for finding it, so you'll have to do the work in order to earn it.

Stuart, there are some really good people on the forum and several have replied on your post.
Some of these have helped me with my own projects, mostly aviation related.

My advice is to trust people a little bit more and you will find it more rewarding on here and generally. Sometimes things can go onto PM's if you want to keep things less public though.

CL1, Tricky Dicky, Kevin Battle - brilliant people to deal with.

ATB and good luck with it.

    Stan.
