Looking for the date for Sgt Rennie (KIA), Sgt Stock(WIA) and Ian Greenway(WIA). C Squadron June 26th 1944 according to Stuart Hill's book and he mentions that Greenway was awarded an MC 'for this action'.

Can't locate Rennie, have you searched CWGC, this link shows all surname Rennie, KIA 1944 who served in the army.

    Results

162668 GREENAWAY was first reported wounded in the casualty list dated 5 July 1944 but shown as date not reported.

This was amended in casualty list dated 17 July 1944 to "Previously reported wounded, date not reported, North West Europe, now reported dangerously ill 29.6.44".

Yep, looked odd checking the dates/locations - also appears that text on the recommendation has been glued on top of the original form.

In view of the fact that your post quoting Hill's book has all the information perhaps I didn't understand your question?

Hill makes an error where he writes June 25th when he meant June 26th. A lot hinges on Hills account so the dating error could (and would) be used to cast doubt on all his claims. It needed independent verification. I knew that casualties would have dates so that seemed the best way to proceed. Everything checks out.
