I live in Gayhurst and actually own the site of the Bombe Hut.

I am organising a VE-Day Celebration Exhibition for May this year. Any info about this Outstation incl. photos and other artefacts would be most interesting. All contributions used will be acknowledged. Please get in touch and let me know what you know!

    Many thanks,

Hi Andrew. Got your separate message on this but thought I would respond on main thread. Sadly my late mother disposed of a few b&w photos that my late father had of Gayhurst when he died. I could scan copy of RAF pass I referred to in previous posting if that would be of interest. Also, I have a copy of a book written by a Wren (Anne McCormick) entitled "Off-Duty - Bletchley Park Outstation Gayhurst Manor WW2".

Published by TRAETH Publications (can supply address if required) which has some cartoons drawn at the time of life at Gayhurst, as well as facsimile copy of "The Gayhurst Gazette". Publication price is/was 4.50.

Will be interested to follow your progress on the project. Sadly I now live in Australia but would love to have visited celebrations.
