I'm intrigued by this casualty and is probably a recording error by the authorities. Listed on CWGC. Name: WEBSTER, JOHN ROBERT Rank: Private Service No: 4807592 Date of Death: 05/03/1943 Age: 27 Regiment/Service: Lincolnshire Regiment Unit: 6th Bn. Grave Reference: 3. E. 19. Cemetery: TABARKA RAS RAJEL WAR CEMETERY Additional Information: Husband of Frances May Webster, of Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire. Conscripted into the Lincolnshire Regiment 1940 Cause of Death: Killed in action. The nominal Roll is marked as having come back from the War in 1946. Class Z (T) Reserve 6/4/1946. I will apply for his service records to see if it is an error. Mistakes can happen, but I've never come across this one before. Any thoughts appreciated. See below:-
