      I remember reading a Standing Order in one of the war diaries - that men should be careful not to leave their weapons unattended when the FFI were around. :)

      good morning dbf.today.12:05am.re:ffi and leaving your wepons unattended.i am sertain if they pinched the odd weapon they would put it to good use.as a matter of interest.i had a brother in the army intell corp.he was dropped into france to train menbers of the ffi.and issue weapons dropped by allied forces.he passed on last year.89.acting major.regards.bernard85

      hi dbf.today.11:17am.thank you for your concern about my brother.the information you ask for I cannot supply.i was not close to my family.i only saw him a couple of times sinc ww2.he.i will try to see if his wife has any history he left behind,if she has I will pass it on to you.i have a large photo of him in the forest area somewhere in france.he is wearing the local clothing style to blend in.i will ask my daughter to scan it and then I will ask my smart grand son to send it.i will try to make it happen,all the best bernard85
