      Ooh, an Archer pic! Where and when?

      Seroster . I don't know for certain as these were pictures I found while sorting through my dads stuff after he died. There is no info on the rear of the photos. If it's after D Day and looking closely at the building in this picture, the windows open inwards which is a continental trait. Also the photo with my father and his carrier in, the end of the left hand building looks to be continental. So it could be Belgium or Holland although I believe Belgium to be a better bet. ( The markings on the front are the 3RD British Division) In which case my theory of the bloke being Ginge is blown, which is another story.

      I don't have the 20th AT Regiment's War Diary yet, but I have from somewhere online that they first received Archers January 5, 1945 (3 which were assigned to O troop of 101 Battery). Since I don't see any snow, it seems to be spring 1945 at the earliest?

      Seroster Ah thank you, that explains why on the D Day landing table there are no Archers any landing craft. If you can check out the flickr link below there are three in a troop photo.
