      Landing Craft, Tank (Armoured), LCT(A) 2433, part of Force S which landed troops on Sword Beach on D-Day. Whilst taking part in the landings on D-Day, a nearby Landing Craft Tank (Rocket) was hit and blew up leaving the ramp of his craft heavily damaged and they were then sent back to England for repairs.

      LCT(HE)-2433 beached alongside LCT(A)-2052, on D-Day at Normandy, 6 June 1944. Both craft were units to the 100th LCT(A)(HE) Flotilla assigned to Sword beach with the 8th Infantry Brigade (assaulting) of the 3rd British Division.
