Great document, many thanks for putting it on here, picked up my father's details, L/Cpl R CARTER, A Coy. No.55073989. He originally enlisted in Hampshire Regt in May 1940, but Northamptonshire Regt apparently got shot up bad at Dunkirk or in 2BEF France anyway and on completion of training got shifted into 5th Bn Northamptonshire Regt as a replacement., hence different number to other blokes in the Bn. He continued to serve unttil 1962, with 1st Bn Northamptons, then a couple of years with 2nd Bn East Anglian Regt on amalgamation. We travelled the world with him, Germany twice, HK and a few depots in UK, lie Gibraltar Barracks - Northampton, Watchet and probably a couple more. He retired as a Colour Sgt - CQMS and died in Australia in 1975.

Stay safe everybody, I know you are doing it tough over there.
