      Hi Luca,

Thank you your interesting posting and for taking the time to enquire about these remarkably brave airmen who made up the Swordfish Squadrons.

I can confirm my father Sub Ltn RW Taylor [ Raymond Warren ] and his crew Sub Ltn Robinson, landed in the sea off the beach near Cefalu on the 11th November 1941 . I believe they ran out of fuel were then captured by an enemy patrol .Whilst I have no knowledge of what may have happened to Mr Robinson, my father spent the remaining war years as a POW in Italian and predominantly German POW Camps.
After the War he studied at Oxford University in England ,married, became an architect and migrated here to New Zealand in 1952 . He and our mother passed away in 2002 and 2005 respectively and are survived also by my two sisters and brother and our families.
My email address is taylor.caverock@xtra.co.nz if you would like further information.

      Kind regards

      John Taylor
