I'm interested in going to the 2010 show and am looking for details on what's going on and what will be there. I've looked at the website of the show and it does not tell me much.

I'm particularly interested in knowing if there will be either a Bofors renactors group or to be able to see one close up.

Any pointers on how to find out would be appreciated.

    Cheers - Rob

Not going this year, for the first time in 6/7 years - not entirely happy about it but hey-ho.

There is usually a Bofors or two Rob, and there's been a C9 bofors truck for the last few years. There's a mob that've been there every year that I remember with a very impressive/complete Bofors setup.

Nothing's guaranteed on what'll turn up though - might be worth Checking on HMVF as owners often note what they're bringing on a thread there:

    Rob,

I think there is one or two Bofors at Dover Castle that you can climb on for free. I'm just going to work but I'll check my photo albums later if I remember.

Scanning some old shots - Wheatcroft Famo's first appearance at Beltring several years ago.
    Now that's a big half/semi track - makes the Crompton Collection's 7 look small:

    Hi all!

I`m looking for photos from this tank :

    http://www.preservedtanks.com/Profil...?UniqueID=1866

It was in the War and peace show in 2009 , sadly it is sold already so i cannot ask photos from the vendor. If anyone have photos from this vehicle and he can share with me it would be awesome !

The Show Organiser's Friendface feed has just announced that Bovington will be bringing the 'War Horse' replica Mark IV down for the duration of this year's show.

STOP PRESS!!! The Spielberg Warhorse tank will be visiting The War and Peace Show all week!! Yes the actual one from the film! See this iconic vehicle live in the Living History field by WW1 trenches, thanks to The Tank Museum!

Pretty sure I am, but with my last couple of years' Beltring luck I'm ruling out no cock-up between here and then.

At least nobody's booked our family hols on the same dates this year...

I will be there too, most likely buried in amongst the carriers going to the show this year...which they reckon is the most they have ever had..alas mine will be left in the garage on its axle stands.

I hadn't heard any rumours, but I'm happy to share this from their Friendface feed:
The War and Peace Show (Organisers)

We are very pleased to confirm that The War and Peace Show is NOT about to be cancelled by any agency or the Organisers. Please do not pay attention to any of the false rumours that are being spread by some people. We’re sorry to see that many people wish us doom and gloom and unfortunately the photos being posted are focusing on small areas, rather than the whole site.
Trade stands; low loaders and vehicles are still arriving and moving onto site – but on a much slower pace than normal, so a big thanks to everyone who is being sensible and respecting the ground conditions. We are lucky that The Hop Farm drains quickly – of course it is wet, it’s been raining, but it’s not as bad as some people are implying.
You will receive the facts here on this site or on our website: War & Peace Show - The Largest Military Vehicle Spectacular in the World - Home, not on any other message board or social media avenue. Please share this information with all your contacts and help quash the rumour mill!

Just a thought, considering how people have asked for pictures of stuff after the event over the years.
If there's a particular vehicle which could be in attendance, and anyone might want more detailed shots of it - shout out here.

No guarantees, but we can try (assuming the memory still functions after a certain amount of alcohol abuse).

Anyone there yet - what's the ground like?

It's been hammering down in Kent for days!

Hasn't it just! By my reckoning we haven't had a dry day since I got back from hols on 5th July (and as I write it's bloody pouring again!) I was intending to go to the show but I'm having doubts now. I don't really want to come back to the car at the end of the day and find it up to the sills in mud! :(

    All the best...........
