Also, going back a bit, were the Crusaders of the Bays in Jan '42 MkI or MkII?

Can anyone tell me the source of Mark’s (#22) attachment please?

For anyone else who may be interested Mark advised:

"The excerpt is page 482 from the book:

Hi, I found this today in the war diary of the 4th County of London Yeomanry and thought it might be of interest:

    WAR DIARY
    4th C.L.Y. “A.1. Echelon” – O.C. Capt. F.R. Sutton
    .

    25 – 28 November 1941
    D.9, 10, 11, 12.

My command with 11 Hussar attachment lagered near RASC about 5 miles South East of Bde and I filled requirements, filling from RASC, marching by night on bearing and distance given me by Bde and generally finding them at first light. While we were in this static position Mr. Aird, Sjt. Wood & Sjt. Ealson salvaged tank, Cruiser Mk VIa No. T15809 at 448389 and a number of vehicles from B Echelon turned up in small batches.

    Regards

    Tom
